  • Home Improvement Rebates

Always Plumbing & Heating is Now Working With Energy Efficiency Alberta to Provide You With Quality Improvements at Affordable Rates

Increasing energy efficiency in our homes is key to lowering our carbon footprint.  We can do this through new technologies that allow us to reduce carbon output while still maintaining the same quality of life we’ve always enjoyed.  Working with Energy Efficiency Alberta allows us to provide more affordable options when it comes to:

    EEA Mandate

The mandate of Energy Efficiency Alberta is:

    • To raise awareness among energy consumers of energy use and the associated economic and environmental consequences.
    • To promote, design and deliver programs and carry out other activities related to energy efficiency, energy conservation and the development of micro-generation and small scale energy systems in Alberta.
    • To promote the development of an energy efficiency services industry.

    Home Improvement Rebates

While EEA provides for savings in every corner of your home, Always Plumbing & Heating is ready to help you with rebates and offers attached to improving your home.  With advances in heating, and passive heat conservation such as insulation, you’ll save when it comes to new installations and upgrades.

Always Plumbing & Heating is on the list of approved contractors, and we are fully trained and ready to advise on and provide products which qualify for the following home improvement rebates: Tankless water heaters, and smart (programmable) thermostats.

    • Up to $1000 rebate on tankless water heaters
    • Up to $100 rebate and a 5-year extended warranty on Nest thermostats

While our rebate programs will help you save money on professional installations, you’ll also find yourself saving more on energy costs throughout the year.

    Tankless Water Heaters

    How does it work?
Once the hot water tap is turned on, cold water enters the tankless heater through an inlet pipe at the bottom of the unit. The flow sensor activates the burner, which in turn warms the heat exchanger. The cold water is heated as it passes through the coils and then exits the system through the hot water outlet to travel throughout your home. When you turn off the hot water tap, cold water stops entering the system and the flow sensor shuts off the burner.

Replacing your current hot water tank with a tankless water heater is a great investment for your home. An on-demand water heater has many benefits, such as:

    • It never runs out of hot water
    • It has a longer lifespan
    • It has low operating costs
    • It’s compact so it takes up less space
    • It requires very little maintenance
    • No tank means no risk of flooding
    • The unit’s parts can be replaced
    • It can be installed virtually anywhere in the house

    Smart Thermostats

We are a Nest Pro accredited company.  Smart thermostats such as the Nest Thermostat are designed to learn over time, adapting to how you heat and cool your home.  By operating only when you need it, these thermostats reduce the amount of time that heating and cooling systems need to be active.  Programmed operation schedules mean that your home will be comfortable year round while still staying economical and energy-efficient.  Smart thermostats can also be paired with multiple sensors to help regulate zoned areas within the home, improving overall efficiency and reducing heating and cooling costs.
